Liberate the Media!

First, I believe we can all come to the conclusion that a very small amount of extremely rich people OWN the media. Therefore, they control the majority of the news that we see. And whom do “most” unbelievably wealthy individuals support politically…. You guessed it, Repbulicans.

Here are some polls completed by Gallup that may lead you to believe the Media plays a very significant role in misleading Americans on Democratic beliefs:

Raising Taxes

63% of American Adults believe Dems will raise federal income taxes (if they win control of Congress)
23% of Americans Approve (raising taxes)
74% Disapprove

We all know that Bush is only causing tax breaks for the wealthy! For the folks that are making over 1 million dollars a year. Here is a quote from “United for a Fair Economy”, which displays the consequence of Bush’s tax cuts.

“Between 2002 and 2004 the Bush tax cuts amounted to a shortfall of
approximately $200 billion going from the federal government to states,
resulting in a combination of service cuts and tax increases by the states that
equaled about that amount, and which was paid for disproportionately by the
middle class and the poor.”

Terrorism

49% of Americans believe that Dems would cut back on fighting terrorism.
21% approve of “cutting back”.

However, Bush has not implemented any of the 9/11 (bipartisan) commission’s suggestions for a safer America. Furthermore, the 9/11 commission in 2005 issued a report card for President Bush on the safety of America… Bush received 12 D’s and a whopping 5 Fs! Also, why would anyone believe that Dems want America to be the victim of a terrorist attack? Just because we don’t support war with the rest of the world, doesn’t mean we advocate for America to be harmed.

Minimum wage

74% of Americans believe Dems would increase the Minimum Wage.
86% of approve

Now I will go out on a limb here and say ALL of Democrats would raise the minimum wage. In 2005 the Senate voted for the “Fair Minimum Wage Act”, 100% of Democrats voted Yes to this act, hoping for an increase in minimum wage. Yet, this Act didn’t pass, because 92% of Republicans voted no!

Forget 74%, All of Americans should be saying, “Yes, we believe the Dems will increase minimum wage.”

Wrapping up

Wow! The public sure has an unclear view of the Democrats. How is that so… well again the Media! People ultimately belief what they hear from our, oh so trusted news.

By living in Korea I find myself watching news, that is not American, it doesn't offer a one sided view & focuses on news from around the world… rather than just domestically. By comparing and contrasting the BBC Asia Pacific to Fox News (or insert other crappy news channel) it really is startling the lack of information America reports to viewers.

I do believe Dems will win this election & take control of Congress, but on the mere fact that Republicans have screwed our country so badly there is no other choice! But be assured millions of votes for Dems are lost due to misrepresentation from the media.

Enter Into The World of "The Google"

This week, Mr Bush expressed his enthusiasm for "the Google". In a cable news interview he was asked if he had ever used the search engine, and if he had ever Googled anybody."Occasionally," Mr Bush told MSNBC's Maria Bartiromo. "One of the things I've used on the Google is to pull up maps. It's very interesting to see that. I forgot the name of the program, but you get the satellite and you can - like, I kind of like to look at the ranch on Google, reminds me of where I want to be sometimes. Yeah, I do it some."

"I tend not to email," he said, before clarifying his position. "Not only tend not to email, I don't email, because of the different record requests that can happen to a president. I don't want to receive emails because, you know, there's no telling what somebody's email may - it would show up as, you know, a part of some kind of a story.

So Mr. President, first you are a complete dim-wit for saying "The Google", duh....I realize this might have been a surprise question, and you have received no coaching on the subject, but..... Google, its popular.... you should probably have said it correctly... yeah. Even my elderly, almost senile Great Grandparents can say google accurately.
Next, you claim to pull up maps, from an unknown sight? maybe "Google Earth"?, of your ranch in good ol' Texas due to homesickness. Which makes me wonder how can you be homesick if you are Always At The Ranch?! you have spent more time at the "ranch" than in Washington. It is making me question your work ethics.
Lastly, I understand your statement on no emails... you need to watch your back, so you can successfully Screw the American people over & over again.
Now George for a fun game why don't you try "the Googling" of Failure, Worst President, Chimp, Satan, & Antichrist....whose name comes up?

The World According to Republicans

I haven't received any fan mail (you need to get on it), however I have started to find Pro-Republican emails in my inbox. This particular letter really speaks for itself... I added some responses. Enjoy!

VOTE REPUBLICAN AND SAVE YOUR FAMILY LIFE, YOUR MONEY AND AVOID RESSESION.
Taxes: Democrats want to raise income taxes. They want more money and will spend time figuring out how to spend it. Republicans gave us more money in our returns and the National debt is now half of what it was a few years ago. You don’t hear about the economy from them.

Are you on crack?! First, Dems realize that we need higher taxes, so that we can pay off our national debt, which has skyrocketed to 8,559,154,803,292.38 due to limitless spending on unnecessary wars. As well, as fund federal programs, which Mr. Bush has cut hundreds of, including meals to feed the elderly, scholarships, the list goes on and on. This would actually benefit the lower and middle class citizens providing them with more opportunities and services. Also, Einstein who do you think gets tax breaks, the poor? Um don’t think so. I could go on for about 500 more pages, but you get the point.

Homeland Security:We must admit homeland security has protected the US citizens against many of terrorist plots. Who voted against homeland security? Who’s against the wire tapping of suspected terrorist? . Akaka (D-HI)Byrd (D-WV)Feingold (D-WI)Hollings (D-SC)Inouye (D-HI)Jeffords (I-VT)Kennedy (D-MA)Levin (D-MI)Sarbanes (D-MD)

Again are you American or stupid?
1. The Republicans have no plan for exiting Iraq or success… which increases our chances for more terrorist attacks.
2. Republicans suffer greatly on responding to disasters, let me refresh your memory…. Hurricane Katrina.
3. Also Dems will implement the recommendations of the 9/11 Commission and finally protect our ports and airports, our borders, mass transit systems, our chemical and nuclear power plants, and our food and water supplies from terrorist attack
.

The economy:The stock market is at an all time high and unemployment is at an all time low.

Here is why the Bush Admin Sucks!
- The Growth in stock markets, please, only 10% of Americans own 80% of stocks… so yeah the stock market is really helping the rich.
- Median household incomes has decreased by $1,300/month
- More & more people are becoming uninsured
2000 Uninsured Americans 39.8 million
2005 Uninsured Americans 46.6 million
-No raise in minimum wage/yet Republicans are increasing their own salaries

steers and queers:Unfortunately both parties have but the Democrats have far more.

This does not deserve a response

US Military:Republicans are the only ones who care for you. The first thing Bush did for you was to give you a raise in pay. Clinton never did that. Clinton downsized the military, let equipment go to hell and many Gils qualified for food stamps.Vietnam the standard for reference for bad military judgment:President Johnson (D) - how many people died under his leadership? Gen. Westmorland always gave us false reports of success. Johnson left office a rich man. He had a company in his wife’s name that serviced military needs in Vietnam. It took a Republican to get us out of that mess.

Uuuhhh…. Bush also has put the lives of American troops on the line for a war that is unnecessary. With no exit plan in sight… but lots of oil, I would say he isn’t the troops #1 fan. Another question, how great are veterans benefits from Bush… ? Troops in Iraq are far under equipped due to another spawn of Satan Rumsfeld. Does Bush look for alternative energy sources domestically, so that we aren’t sooo dependent on foreign oil? Huh, does he, I don’t think so.

It is a proven fact that Democrats are smarter than Republicans. Additionally, the states with the highest IQ levels are vastly blue. Really that surprised? Vote for Democrats!

"Other than telling us how to live, think, marry, pray, vote, invest, educate our children and, now, die, I think the Republicans have done a fine job of getting government out of our personal lives." - Portland Oregonian

Useful Information is Meant to be Passed On

The newest political ad put out by Democrats.org, its good for a change to see the Dems out fighting. All I heard last election was how Kerry flip-flopped on issues, blah blah blah. Well, guess what, so does Bush, this really slams his administration. And its about time.... Ultimately, this is about how Bush's "Stay the Course" catch phrase is devastating to our nation & the world. Furthermore, the Ad shows how Bush is now abandoning his beloved phrase while trying to pretend he never said it. Lies! Unfortunately, this ad is only seen on the Internet, I say lets petition & get it on T.V. where it belongs. So email http://www.democrats.org/ try to persuade the Dems to put it on the airwaves.

Army Generals Endorse Democrats

Democrats Need to Take Over Congress

Two retired senior Army generals, who served in Iraq and previously voted Republican, are now openly endorsing a Democratic takeover of Congress. The generals, and an active-duty senior military official, told Salon in separate interviews that they believe a Democratic victory will help reverse course from what they consider to be a disastrous Bush administration policy in Iraq. The two retired generals, Maj. Gen. John Batiste and retired Maj. Gen. Paul Eaton, first openly criticized the handling of the war last spring, when they called for the resignation of Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld.

"The best thing that can happen right now is for one or both of our houses to go Democratic so we can have some oversight," Batiste, who led the Army's 1st Infantry Division in Iraq in 2004 and 2005, told Salon. Batiste describes himself as a "lifelong Republican." But now, he said, "It is time for a change."

NewsFlash: New Scandal out of Nevada, involving, who else, a Republican

Tuesday, October 24, 2006
by John
This time it's the governor's candidate, Republican Congressman Jim Gibbons, the guy who was accused last week of attacking a young woman in a parking lot. Today we find out that the
very anti-immigration Gibbons had an illegal alien working for him for years, and even hid her in the basement.

Did Gibbons' wife, the possible next First Lady of Nevada, commit perjury? The local news coverage makes clear that Gibbons' wife Dawn signed federal legal documents in 1988, under the penalty of perjury, stating that everyone knew the woman, Patricia, was undocumented and that she'd worked for the family since 1987, cooking, cleaning and babysitting, and even had an employment contract for $800/month. The employee, Patricia, says she was paid every two weeks, and worked ten hours days, 50 hours a week. But then, at the end of the broadcast we learn that the TV news team has just received a statement from Dawn Gibbons claiming that she tried to help Patricia for a time, but only with occasional odd jobs, and not as a full time employee. The news broadcaster said that this statement contradicts what Dawn Gibbons said under oath in the federal documents. If true, that's called perjury - from the woman who plans on being Nevada's next First Lady

It is Not What we Take Up, but What we Give Up

I’m not a war hero... or even a person that involuntarily makes sacrifices for others. I've never lived by the words of Martin Luther King, " Life's most urgent question is: What are you doing for others?" That doesn't make me a bad person, just normal.

However, in light of the upcoming elections and my "strong opposition to the Republicans I decided to challege myself and do something I believe in. I took this challenge head on and find myself helping to spread the beliefs of the Democratic Party, even launching a durable, unadulterated Dems Abroad Korea. Giving myself the pleasure of knowing I helped contribute to kicking out those right-wing Republicans in the 2006/2008 elections, respectively. Please, no applause.

I l0ve being a part of Dems Abroad Korea. Yet, Korea is such a transient country, no one wants to make a commitment, a bit unfortunate for DAK. Therefore, I find myself being a large majority of the representation for DAK in Seoul… and I’m racking my brains on how to obtain members. I’m succeeding, but I need to do more. That is why & how I find myself making a personal sacrifice to better America.

Yes, I am a self-proclaimed Internet junkie, in spite of that, I have come to the conclusion not all advertising/marketing should be done through forums, myspace, blogs….what DAK needs is face to face contact. For that reason, I’m going to take the plunge, get out into the world and join, join, join; organizations, clubs, chapters...whatever is out there. Including the mother of all establishments, it is so perfect for my new marketing scheme that it succeeds merely upon in person interaction & networking. This org. is the American Chamber of Commerce, I can already see myself rubbing elbows with some big time businessmen in Korea (crossing my fingers they’re not all Republicans) while utilizing my grace & charm, with DAK off and running in no time.

But isn't there’s always a catch, mine, the budget I work with. It's a bit less than desirable, the exact amount being 0. Of course, all these organizations, AmCham included, require tons of $$$ or won to join their exclusiveness. Korea, this is where I reveal my sacrifice, NO DRINKING FOR 8 WEEKS!

I find my abstinence to alcohol will effectively balance the costs, allowing me to save money to pay pricey membership fees. Also, I “occasionally” find it hard to use self-restraint at bars and “may possibly” end up drunk. Therefore, my newfound discipline of not drinking will enhance my interaction skills i.e. not slurring my words, rambling on aimlessly, or causing my verbal communication to be utterly incomprehensible, really permitting me to shine, while gaining both credibility & members.

Now, I’ve been know to give into temptation, ok more like.. go at it with full force. Oh no, Not this time, my guard is up, I guarantee I Will Not Drink for 8 Weeks. It doesn’t matter whether I’m at a bar, a friend’s apartment, or dinner I Will Not Drink. Go ahead, tempt me… it won’t work, my mind is made up, unlike Washington today, I will not be swayed by generous offers. I am so confident that I will succeed; I personally am putting down 50,000 won if I drink. That’s right; if you see me drinking I will pay 50,000 won on the spot.

So America I hope I can inspire others to forfeit something highly valued, in an effort to better our country.

At Least Republicans are Good for Some Comic Relief

"Elections are only a few weeks away and it looks like the Republicans are going to lose a lot of them. I guess desperate times require desperate measures. [on screen: RNC's TV ad depicting another terrorist attack by Osama bin Laden, followed by a reminder to vote 11/7]. Let me get this straight. Osama bin Laden is threatening to attack America again, so what we should do is vote for the people who haven't been able to catch him for the last five years?." --Jimmy Kimmel

"President Bush says there are similarities between Iraq and Vietnam. Of course, the big difference is, his dad could get him out of Vietnam." --Jay Leno

"The election is three weeks away and there are rumors the Republicans are getting ready for an election night disaster, which would be a first -- a disaster they were actually prepared for." --Bill Maher

"[North Korea's Kim Jong Il] apologized and expressed regret for setting off his nuclear bomb. He also said that he's an alcoholic, that he was molested as a child, and he's going into rehab. And he said, 'Me love you long range.'." --Bill Maher

"A new government study has found that the average American car weighs five-hundred pounds more than it did ten years ago. However, this is only true if an average American is sitting in the car." --Conan O'Brien

"Today is Friday the 13th. Down in Washington, a confused George W. Bush lit a menorah." --David Letterman

"The president had a press conference this week and he said that the U.S. has no plans to attack North Korea. And then he added, 'Like having no plan ever stopped me before.' He has something even more deadly in store for them -- we're going to bring them democracy." --Bill Maher

"This weekend Ohio Republican Bob Ney plead guilty to Abramoff-related bribery and corruption charges. Congressman Ney's district encompasses -- this is true -- most of Licking County, Ohio. Which early odds have it will also be the nickname of his jail cell. Ney asked for leniency in sentencing because he says he has a drinking problem. If you're keeping score at home, that now makes alcohol responsible for corruption, anti-semitism, and homosexual pedophilia." --Jon Stewart

Democrats the Choice is Yours....
Who is the Biggest GOP Loser of the Week???

Contender #1:
Republican U.S. Rep. for Wyoming Barbara Cubin
Ms. Cubin was recently featured in a live debate sponsored by Wyoming Public Television with Libertarian Thomas Rankin & Democrat Gary Trauner.
Rankin disapproved and criticized Cubin of receiving financial assistance from former House Speaker Tom Delay. Moments later Cubin responded by saying,"If you weren't sitting in that chair, I'd slap you across the face."
Rankin has multiple sclerosis and is confined to a wheelchair. Cubin's representation does not deny her unethical outburst.
By TOM MORTON Star-Tribune Staff Writer Monday, October 23, 2006
Contender #2:
Rush Limbaugh
Rush Limbaugh has accused the actor Michael J. Fox, that suffers from Parkinson's Disease, of intentionally not taking his meds to exaggerate the symptoms of his disease for dramatic effect in a recent T.V. appearance. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) has released an ad campaign displaying the need for stem cell research, which features Fox.
Furthermore, Limbaugh believes that Fox could very well have been faking his symptoms all together. Limbaugh is quoted as saying, "I stated when I saw the ad, I was commenting to you about it, that he was either off the medication or he was acting. He is an actor, after all."
Contender #3:
J. Patrick Rooney (White, Republican Billionaire)
In a pathetic attempt to reach out to minority voters Rooney & other GOP advertising geniuses generated this transcript targeting black voters in 10 battleground states.
BLACK MAN #1: "If you make a little mistake with one of your 'ho's, you'll want to dispose of that problem tout suite, no questions asked."
BLACK MAN #2: "That's too cold. I don't snuff my own seed."
BLACK MAN #1: "Maybe you do have a reason to vote Republican."
Possibly the worst ad ever! People that use the word ho's most likely wouldn't use the phrase tout suite in the same sentence. At least Laura Bush did not appear and start speaking Ebonics. .

Newsweek Says 55% of U.S. Public Plans to Vote for Democrats

By Neil Roland
Oct. 21 (Bloomberg) -- By a 55-to-37 percent margin, Americans who say they are likely to vote in the Nov. 7 elections plan to cast their ballots for Democratic candidates, according to a new Newsweek poll.

The Democrats have gained among both white Catholics and white evangelicals in the last two years, the poll released today showed. Among independents, 44 percent favor the Democrat in their district while 34 percent prefer the Republican candidate.

Democrats need a net gain of 15 seats to win control of the House and six to gain control of the Senate. While President George W. Bush has predicted that the Republicans will keep their congressional majorities, former House Majority Leader Richard Armey, a Texas Republican, said yesterday that Democrats may gain a majority of 10 seats in the House.

In the Newsweek poll, Bush's approval rating is at 35 percent, with 57 percent of Americans saying they disapprove of his performance. In an all-time low in the survey, 65 percent of Americans said the U.S. is losing ground in efforts to build security and democracy in Iraq.
A majority of respondents -- 56 percent, including 23 percent of Republicans -- said they believe Bush won't be able to achieve much for the rest of his second term.

The poll showed that 60 percent of white evangelicals plan to vote for a Republican candidate, and 31 percent for a Democrat. Exit polls after the 2004 elections found that 74 percent of white evangelicals voted for Republicans, while 25 percent voted for Democrats, Newsweek said.
In today's poll, Democrats received the support of 44 percent of white Catholics, while 42 percent said the planned to vote for Republicans. Catholics overwhelmingly supported Bush in the 2004 presidential election.

Asked to name the issue that is most important to their vote, 31 percent of respondents cited Iraq, 18 percent said the economy and 16 percent said health care.

Princeton Survey Research Associates International, which conducted the survey, interviewed 1,000 adults aged 18 and older on Oct. 19-20. The margin of error is plus or minus 4 percentage points.

Did Bush Want North Korea to Test a Nuclear Weapon?

According to the Washington Post, staff writer Glenn Kessler, reporting out of Moscow, believes that statement to be absolutely true. Kessler has been traveling with Condaleeza Rice and has made some rather shocking comments regarding the nukes in N. Korea.

"Before North Korea announced it had detonated a nuclear device, some senior officials even said they were quietly rooting for a test, believing that would finally clarify the debate within the administration."

Well, I bet Dubya was actually hoping for a terrorist attack on American soil, maybe on November 6th! A new scare tactic to secure votes. The Bush Administration must be mighty happy right now if North Korea has nuclear weapons, because it justifies war. However, do you think we would actually go to war with N. Korea..... or Iran?

Furthermore, Kessler goes on to report that Rice, our very own Secretary of State, nearly slipped and said she too was hoping for a test. "On her trip to Asia this week, Rice has come close to saying the test was a net plus for the United States."

Disturbing, yet not surprising... So again (yes, its a bit late for folks abroad in Korea) but you better vote! or who knows WWIII might be just around the corner. It baffles my mind as to why people support a man that has publicically said "I'm a War President". Truly shocking. Don't be too surprised of another threat by N. Korea right before election day.
